Mercury is an excellent time to review your projects and plans, get all your files and paperwork in order. You can’t stop your life if mercury is retrograde, but if you plan ahead, and have good back-up plans, you may be able to avoid that miscommunication. Some people blame Mercury retrograde for “bad” things that happen in their lives. Instead, take this time to sit back and review where you put your energy in your life.
Throughout our lives, we’re either growing, recovering or sitting stagnant. Those of us who are taking time to grow, taking classes, workshops and moving forward in life are actually evolving. And even in our next incarnation, we’ll come back as teachers and as Buddhists say, we’ll return as a Bodhisattva. A Bodhisattva is a person who has attained prajna, or enlightenment, but who postpones nirvana in order to help others to attain enlightenment.
We all have crashes and burn parts of life away. Some of us become victims and lose our way, turn to alcohol or drugs. Others burn our heads in the sand like big dumb birds. And then there are the vultures who take advantage of these situations and swoop down and feed on them. Then there are those who come together and build and restore from the ashes. What kind of bird are you?
This is the time of year when I plant my feng shui garden. Just like the magic square program, I divide the garden up into nine squares. I then plant one different fruit or vegetable in each square. I always watch to see what veggie is growing the best and which ones need more fertilizer, water or sunshine. The arugula in the lower left corner is doing really well, and so is the kale in the fourth square. Not only am I cultivating food, it gives me an indication of the feng shui of my entire garden and house.
In Feng Shui, the dragon energy is talked about all the time. This dragon energy is actually the pre-heaven energy that comes from nature and can transform everything. Dragon energy is formless and invisible. It is the energy that holds the potential for the future. Dragon Energy is formless. You can see the head and the result, but never the tail.
There is always a good side and a bad side which causes distress and uncertainty in the body. When we are meditating for a long period of time, we start to notice an uncomfortable feeling. It could be from your mind bringing up past stressful situations, or the mind could be more active in general. They call this monkey mind, because it jumps from one situation to another – running old movies of your past.
What you call an issue may be an expression of some value that is true to you. Keep the value and change the expression to fit your needs. Issues, excuses, dramas, alibis and beliefs are all of the same nature and are either illusions to be surrendered – or your BS (belief structure) material to use for your growth.
