The Festival Do Mar has been going on for the last 6 nights on the Beachside here in Portugal. The Music is incredible and just keeps getting better and better each night. The little streets of Cascais, Portugal are jammed with people from all over the World enjoying the Food, Music and Culture. This is the only (10) Day Free Concert in all of Portugal and it’s been happening for years! The Fishermen’s Wharf is where it all happening.
As I was listening to the Music under the Shimmering Moonlight, barefooted in the sand and the ocean lapping in the backdrop; something deep inside my Soul started to vibrate. It was a certain Cord or Note that touched my Heart’s Core and brought me back to a time in my life of Love and Romance. These songs told stories of wives and lovers who were deeply in love with each other and their hearts were heavy with sorrow when they had to be separated from their Lover, because the men had to go to sea to work. The women would pray that their men would return home safely, knowing that that may never see their Beloved alive again!
